Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing bridge inspection activities on I-79 in Marshall Township, Allegheny County will occur Monday through Wednesday, October 5-7 weather permitting.
To accommodate bridge inspection activities of the I-79 structures over Route 19 and Freeport Road (Route 4054), the following restrictions will occur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day:
- Northbound I-79 will have a single-lane restriction between the Warrendale (Exit 75) and Youngstown OH/Harrisburg/I-76 Pennsylvania Turnpike (Exit 77) interchanges.
- Route 19 will be reduced to a single lane of traffic in both directions under the I-79 structure overhead.
Crews from MS Consultants will conduct the inspection activities. Drivers should be prepared for changing traffic patterns. Please stay alert and drive cautiously – safety is everyone’s responsibility.
