Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing cable barrier repair work requiring a single-lane restriction on northbound Interstate 79 in Robinson and Kennedy townships, Allegheny County will occur Saturday morning, January 17 weather permitting.
A single-lane restriction will occur on northbound I-79 approximately one-half mile north of the Route 60 Crafton/Moon Run (Exit 60) interchange from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday morning to allow crews to repair cable barrier.
Please use caution when traveling through the corridor. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
This work is part of the $43.9 million I-79 “S-Bend” Project that included full-depth pavement reconstruction, and bridge preservation work. Additionally, there was milling and paving of three ramps at the Route 51 (Coraopolis/McKees Rocks) interchange. The project also included guiderail replacement, highway lighting and signing upgrades, new pavement markings and delineation, and other miscellaneous construction work.
