Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing bridge inspection activities requiring lane restrictions on various roads and ramps in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will begin Monday, August 17 weather permitting.
To accommodate inspection activities, the following restrictions will occur according to the schedule below:
Monday through Wednesday, August 17-19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- There will be a lane closure on Crosstown Boulevard between Forbes Avenue and the off-ramp from southbound I-579
- There will be a shoulder closure on the southbound I-579 ramp to Route 19/51/Liberty Bridge
Wednesday, August 19, from 10:00 AM to noon
- There will be a shoulder closure on the inbound Boulevard of the Allies (Route 885) ramp to northbound I-579/I-279 toward the Veterans Bridge
The above listed ramps will remain open during this work.
Crews from Consor North America, Inc. will conduct the inspections.
