I-376 Parkway East Overnight Median Barrier Work Wednesday, Thursday Nights in Allegheny County

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing median barrier work along I-376 (Parkway East) between the City of Pittsburgh and Edgewood Borough, Allegheny County will occur Wednesday and Thursday nights, July 8-9 weather permitting.

A single-lane restriction will occur on eastbound I-376 (Parkway East) between the Squirrel Hill/Homestead (Exit 74) and Edgewood/Swissvale (Exit 77) interchanges from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM each night to accommodate median barrier work ahead of the I-376 Commercial Street Bridge closure on Friday, July 10.

To help keep drivers informed as work progresses, PennDOT has created an email distribution list for Parkway East traffic advisories and construction updates. Enroll by sending email addresses to ymanyisha@pa.gov.  Please write “Subscribe – Parkway East” in the subject line.

Travelers can check conditions on major roads by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
