Downtown Pittsburgh Driver’s License Center to Close April 23 and 24 for NFL Draft

Customers can visit nearby Bridgeville, Penn Hills or Allison Park Driver’s License Centers during closure.

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that the Pittsburgh Driver’s License Center at 708 Smithfield Street will be closed on Thursday, April 23, and Friday, April 24, 2026, due to anticipated traffic impacts and disruptions associated with the NFL Draft.

Several other nearby driver’s license centers will be open and ready to serve customers during the two-day closure, including:

  • Bridgeville Driver’s License Center at 1025 Washington Pike, Suite F2, Route 50, Bridgeville.
  • Penn Hills Driver’s License Center at 11620 Keleket Drive, Penn Hills.
  • Allison Park Driver’s License Center at 1701 Duncan Avenue, Allison Park.

Customers may still obtain a variety of driver and vehicle products and services, including all forms, publications, and driver training manuals, online through PennDOT’s Driver and Vehicle Services website.

Driver and vehicle online services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and include driver’s license, photo ID and vehicle registration renewals; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters; ability to pay driver license or vehicle insurance restoration fee; driver license and photo ID duplicates; REAL ID pre-verification; and driver exam scheduling. There are no additional fees for using online services.
