Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing a lane restriction on the Route 2048 (William Penn Highway/Business 22) Hall Station Bridge in in Wilkins Township and the Municipality of Monroeville, Allegheny County will begin Monday, September 29 weather permitting.
Single-lane restrictions will occur daily in the westbound direction on the Hall Station Bridge, which carries William Penn Highway over Thompson Run Road from 7:00 AM to 5 PM through late December. Crews will conduct trough seals on the saw tooth expansion dams on the bridge.
Work on this $23.84 million William Penn Highway (Business Route 22) preservation and rehabilitation project began in March 2023 in Wilkins Township, Churchill Borough, and the Municipality of Monroeville between Huntingdon Drive and Mosside Boulevard and is expected to conclude in early 2026.
