Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing washing activities in the southbound direction on the I-579 Veterans Bridge over the Allegheny River in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will begin Monday, October 13 weather permitting.
Overnight single-lane restrictions will occur on the Veterans Bridge in the southbound direction from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM weeknights through late October. Additionally, a traffic shift will occur from 8:00 PM Monday to 6:00 AM Tuesday on the southbound Route 28 ramp to the I-579 Veterans Bridge. Crews from Green Acres Contracting will conduct bridge washing activities.
