I-279 Ramp Inspections at the Fort Duquesne Bridge this Week in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane restrictions on the ramps to and from I-279 at the Fort Duquesne Bridge in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Thursday and Friday, September 25-26 weather permitting.

Single-lane restrictions will occur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day at the following ramps at the Fort Duquesne Bridge:

  • Southbound I-279 ramp to the Fort Duquesne Bridge (lower deck)
  • Northbound Fort Duquesne Bridge (upper deck) ramp to northbound I-279 (Parkway North)

All ramps will remain open.

Crews from Modjeski and Masters, Inc. will conduct the ramp inspection work.                                                                            

Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns. Please use caution when driving through the area.  Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
