I-279 Lane Restrictions for Bridge Inspection Work this Week in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing inspection activities on I-279 (North Shore Expressway) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Tuesday and Wednesday, November 4-5 weather permitting.

Inspection activities will occur on I-279 structures over Federal Street and East Lacock Street according to the following schedule:

·         Tuesday, November 4 – Northbound lane restriction from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

·         Wednesday, November 5 – Southbound lane restriction from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Crews from GFT Infrastructures, Inc. will conduct the inspection work.

Please use caution if traveling on the ramps.  Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
