Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is announcing upcoming bridge preservation work on the Zelienople Bridge on Route 19 in Zelienople Borough, Butler County.
During this time, northbound traffic will be maintained, and southbound traffic will be detoured. To detour, travel Little Creek Road, then onto I-79. Exit I-79 at Exit 85 to the Zelienople North Exit. Follow Route 19 back into Zelienople.
This work is scheduled to begin on May 20. The road will reopen to southbound traffic on July 2, for the July 4th events. The closure will resume on July 6 and continue through August 21.
East Northview Drive will be closed with traffic detouring on Route 19, to Route 68 (East Grandview Avenue) and onto Short Street. West Northview Drive will be closed with traffic detouring on Route 19, to Route 68 (West Grandview Avenue) and onto North Clay Street.
All work is weather dependent.
Allison Park Contractors, Inc. of Gibsonia Pa is completing this $1.9 million latex overlay project, which is estimated to be completed mid-August 2026.
