Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to view plans regarding the Groce Hill Bridge replacement project in Beaver Township, Clarion County.
The purpose of the virtual plans display is to share preliminary information on the project’s status, schedule, design, and right-of-way acquisition.
The Groce Hill Bridge replacement project will replace the existing bridge carrying State Route 4001 (East End Road) over Interstate 80. This work includes raising the existing roadway profile and all associated approach roadway reconstruction. There will be a temporary detour on the north and south sides of the bridge. Construction for the project is anticipated to begin in fall 2029.
An online presentation of the project will be available which outlines and explains the proposed plans and schedule. To access the webpage visit https://www.pa.gov/agencies/penndot/projects-near-you/district-10-projects, click on Clarion County, then choose the project name – Groce Hill Bridge project. The presentation will be available from September 18 through October 23, 2026.
