Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is alerting motorists to eastbound and westbound lane restrictions and a ramp closure as part of the Route 422 resurfacing project in Slippery Rock and Muddy Creek townships, Butler County.
June 1 through July 31, Route 422 eastbound and westbound will have right-lane restrictions from the Route 422/I-79 interchange to just west of the Lake Arthur Bridge as crews perform drainage work and paving.
June 1 through June 5, the West Park Road on-ramp from Route 422 will be closed for drainage work and paving. In the event of inclement weather, the work will be moved to June 8 through June 12.
To detour for the ramp closure, drivers travelling east on Route 422 attempting to use the West Park Road on ramp at the Route 422/West Park Road interchange should continue east on Route 422 for approximately two miles to the Moraine State Park exit then turn right onto Pleasant Valley Road. Drivers will then take the Route 422 westbound on-ramp and continue west on Route 422 to the North Shore Exit and continue to West Park Road.
Resurfacing work will continue through October 30 along Route 422 from the intersection with McConnel’s Mill Road to West Park Road. Drivers should expect single lane closures both eastbound and westbound as needed for the duration of the project. All work is weather dependent.
Lindy Paving Inc., of New Galilee, PA is completing this $5.6 million resurfacing project, which is estimated to be completed at the end of October 2026.
