I-80 Eastbound Closed Between Exits 53 and 60 with Speed Restriction in Effect for Clarion and Jefferson Counties

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing that I-80 eastbound is closed between Exit 53: Route 338 - Knox and Exit 60: Route 66 North – Shippenville due to a multi-vehicle crash.

To detour, motorists should exit I-80 Eastbound at Exit 53: Route 338 - Knox, travel north on Route 3007 to Route 338 East to Route 208 East to Route 322 East in Shippenville.  Motorists should continue on Route 322 East to Route 66 South and reenter I-80 Eastbound at Exit 60. Motorists should use caution in the area and along the detour route. The roadway will remain closed until the scene is cleared at a time to be determined.   

A speed limit restriction is in place in Clarion and Jefferson Counties between Exit 45: PA 478 – St. Petersburg/Emlenton and Exit 97: Route 219 – DuBois/Brockway. Speed limits are restricted to 45 miles per hour for all vehicles, and commercial vehicles must move to the right lane.
