Clarion County PennDOT Hiring for 2026 Student Summer Workers

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is seeking hardworking college students for employment during the summer months for the 2026 Summer Employment Program.

Student summer workers assist in seasonal maintenance work on state-maintained roadways and bridges under the direct oversight of a field supervisor.  Maintenance of facilities, including mowing, debris removal and general maintenance may also be considered. Many students also perform laboring and flagging duties.

The salary for student summer workers is $17.38 hourly.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Pennsylvania resident or currently enrolled full-time or part-time in a two-year degree, bachelor’s degree, or advance program at a Pennsylvania college or university.
  • Must be in good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • This position requires verification of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
