Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is alerting drivers to a change in traffic patterns for the bridge preservation project on Route 422 in Butler and Summit townships, Butler County.
The 12-foot lane restrictions on both eastbound and westbound Route 422 as well as the stop sign in place on the Route 422 westbound on-ramp will continue. Travelling eastbound, the shoulder lane is restricted effective immediately.
Work is weather dependent. The traffic patterns and restrictions will change throughout the project with updates going out prior to the changes.
Mekis Construction of Fenelton, PA is completing this $6.2 million bridge preservation project, which is estimated to be completed at the end of October 2026.
