Bridge Replacement on Route 286 in Indiana County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing a bridge replacement on Route 286 over a tributary to Cherry Run in White Township, Indiana County.

On May 21 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, drivers may experience delays with intermittent stops while the culvert box is installed. The bridge is located on Route 286 between Brown Road and Hilltop Road.

This project is for the replacement of the existing bridge, guiderail upgrades, drainage work, and paving. Contractor, Plum Contracting, Inc. of Greensburg, PA will be completing this $1.9 million project anticipated to be complete by the end of January 2027.
