Waterline Relocation Work Begins on the Franklin Road Corridor Safety Improvement Project

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing night work for waterline relocation on Franklin Road in Cranberry Township, Butler County.

July 13 through July 25, the waterline will be relocated along Franklin Road between the Route 228 and Hillmont Drive intersections.  Flagging with single-lane closures will occur 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

This is a safety improvement project that includes shoulder widening, installation of edge-line rumble strips, and sight distance improvements along Franklin Road.  This is a four-year project which has a current completion date in early November 2027. 

Contractor, Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College, PA will be completing this four-year $19.1 million project.
