Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Bridging Pennsylvania Developers I (BPD-I) is notifying motorists of upcoming rolling slowdowns and a short-term lane closure as part of the I-80 North Fork Bridges Project in Jefferson County.
The Contractor will be setting beams for the new I-80 bridge structures over Jenks Street (Route 4003) on September 15 and September 16, weather permitting. Motorists can expect intermittent rolling slowdowns on I-80 eastbound and westbound between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM while this work is ongoing.
In addition, there will be a temporary lane closure on Jenks Street between Maplevale Road and the I-80 overpass as the beams are delivered to the project site. Local traffic will be able to access this section of Jenks Street except when flaggers stop traffic for up to 10 minutes as the beam delivery trucks enter the work site.
Operations may be moved to September 17 or September 18 in the event of inclement weather.
