Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the ramp and bridge work on the Route 268 overpass in West Kittanning, Armstrong County has been rescheduled to begin September 29.
Originally scheduled September 24 through 26, the work is now scheduled September 29 through October 3 with temporary traffic controls to be in place starting at 7:00 AM on September 29. Work affects the Route 422 eastbound off-ramp to Route 268 and the Route 268 eastbound on-ramp to Route 422 on the bridge carrying Route 268 over Route 422 near West Kittanning.
In addition to the Route 268-West Kittanning interchange, additional work locations include Route 422 between Worthington Borough in Armstrong County, the intersection of Graham/Burke Road in Butler County and at the bridge spanning Lake Arthur in Moraine State Park in Butler County. Contractor, Glenn O. Hawbaker, State College, PA will be completing this $15.6 million resurfacing project that concludes at the end of fall of 2025.
