Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is alerting motorists to a paving project with lane restrictions on Route 66 in Apollo, Armstrong County.
October 2 through 7, paving will begin on Route 66 between the intersections of 1st Street and Myers Road. Work will be performed during daylight hours. The roadway will be under a single-lane restriction with flaggers.
Derry Construction Co., Inc., of Latrobe is completing this site as part of an $8.1 million contract which also includes multiple paving locations and pipe replacements throughout Armstrong County. The contract is anticipated to be complete in early November.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a free smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following local alerts on X.
