Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing a change to the detour route and closure area for the I-80 eastbound closure. I-80 is now closed between Exit 60: Route 66 North – Shippenville and Exit 78: Route 36 – Sigel/Brookville.
Due to a downed tree on Route 66 about 1.5 miles north of New Bethlehem affecting the original detour route, motorists should exit at Exit 60: Route 66 North – Shippenville. Travel Route 66 North to Route 322 East and merge onto I-80 at Exit 70 in Strattanville. The estimated time to reopen has been adjusted to 6:30 PM.
