Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing that Route 66 has been cleared of the fallen tree and the detour route for the I-80 closure is reverting to the original route.
Motorists will at exit I-80 at Exit 64: Route 66 – Clarion/New Bethlehem, travel Route 66 south to Route 28 north towards Brookville. I-80 is closed between Exit 64: Route 66 – Clarion/New Bethlehem and Exit 78: Route 36 – Sigel/Brookville. The anticipated time to reopen is now 10:30, but subject to change, as clean up efforts continue.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a free smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following local alerts on X.
