Weight Restrictions to be Posted on Two Roads in Erie County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today vehicle restrictions will be posted on two roads in Erie County starting June 22, 2026.

The following roads will be restricted to a weight limit of 10 tons:

  • Tannery Road (Route 3018) from the Girard Borough line to Route 832 in Girard and Fairview townships.
  • French Creek Road (Route 2001) from Route 6 to Flatts Road (Route 2003) in LeBoeuf Township.

The restrictions are required based on an inspection of the road conditions and a pavement analysis.

Vehicles exceeding the posted 10-ton weight limit are required to use alternate routes.

Travelers can check conditions on major roads by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
