A $1.97 million resurfacing project that will give motorists a smoother ride on Page Hollow Road (Route 4009) in Freehold, Pittsfield and Sugar Grove townships, Warren County started on February 23, 2026.
The project runs the entire length on the roadway (7.71 miles) from Route 6 in Pittsfield Township through Freehold Township to Route 957 in Sugar Grove Township.
Work will start with tree trimming, which got underway on February 23, 2026, and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2026.
The remainder of the project, which includes paving, base repair, guiderail updates, driveway adjustments and shoulder backup, is expected to begin April 1, 2026, weather permitting, and is expected to be completed by June 2026.
Drivers should be alert for traffic pattern shifts and lane restrictions, with traffic controlled by flaggers.
The contractor is IA Construction of Franklin, PA. The contract cost is $1,973,777.77 which is to be paid entirely with state funds.
