Overnight Closure Planned for This Weekend at Interstate 80 Westbound near the Ohio State Line

Both lanes of Interstate 80 westbound will be closed from Exit 4A (Interstate 376, New Castle) in Shenango Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania to the Exit 234 (Route 62, Hubbard) in Trumbull County, Ohio starting at 10:00 PM on Saturday, May16.

The closure is expected to be lifted by 6:00 AM on Sunday, May 17. A detour is posted using Route 62.

It is needed in order to remove a large vehicle that was involved in a crash.

Drivers of large vehicles are reminded to obey traffic signs and use the left lane only when directed.

PennDOT urges drivers to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
