Final Paving to Start on Route 18 in Greenville, Mercer County

Drivers should be alert for lane restrictions and traffic pattern shifts as final paving operations get underway next week on Route 18 in Greenville Borough, Mercer County.

Work will be done from the intersection of Route 18 and Route 358 passed Thiel College and to the intersection of Route 18 and Mill Hill Road starting April 28, 2026, weather permitting.

Crews will be milling, making roadway repairs as needed, then paving the final two layers of asphalt. Work is expected to take three weeks to complete, after which final line painting will be done.

Drivers may encounter traffic control flaggers and should expect delays during active work hours.

The work is among the final stages of the Route 18 and Route 58 Improvement Project.

PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
