The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is reminding drivers to be alert for shifting traffic patterns and stop signs at the end of on-ramps to Interstate 80 in Mercer County.
Temporary stop signs have been installed at the end of the ramps from Interstate 376 to both eastbound and westbound I-80 in connection with the reconstruction project from mile marker 0 to mile marker 5.
Drivers of large vehicles are also reminded to obey traffic signs and use the left lane only when directed.
PennDOT urges drivers to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
