Traffic Pattern Changes Planned for Interstate 80 Eastbound in Mercer County Moved to Next Week

A new traffic pattern planned for eastbound traffic in connection with ongoing work on Interstate 80 in Mercer County has been rescheduled to start next week.

Beginning Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the lane shifts will be in place from the Shenango River Bridge to the Route 318 Bridge and will include the area around the Interstate 376 interchange.

Under the new traffic pattern, westbound traffic will remain shifted, and one lane of eastbound traffic will turn adjacent to the westbound lanes, as currently deployed. Eastbound through traffic should use this lane.

The second lane for eastbound traffic will be moved from the inside lane to the outside lane and shoulder adjacent to the work zone. Eastbound motorists will be able to exit to the I-376 interchange using this lane only.

The change is expected to remain in place for several months.
