Drivers are Reminded of Temporary Traffic Pattern at Holland Street, Bayfront Parkway

As the Bayfront Parkway and State Street closure continues, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is reminding drivers of the new traffic pattern for northbound traffic on Holland Street.

The Bayfront Parkway (Route 4034) is closed between Sassafras Street Extension and Holland Street, and State Street is closed from Second Street to East Front Street in the City of Erie, Erie County.

In connection with that closure a new traffic pattern is in place for Holland Street traffic approaching the parkway.

The right lane is right turn only. Traffic in the right lane is required to turn onto the Bayfront Parkway eastbound. Drivers should not go straight from the right lane.

The left lane is for traffic crossing the Bayfront Parkway and continuing toward the Blasco Memorial Library, multimodal center, and other amenities along the waterfront. Drivers are reminded to watch for pedestrians and yield to pedestrians at the crosswalks on East Front Street and West Front Street Extension.
