Lane Restrictions This Saturday on SB I-81 in Cumberland County

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that lane restrictions for asphalt pavement repairs are planned for this Saturday on southbound Interstate 81 near Carlisle in Cumberland County.

 

Weather permitting, there will be right lane closures from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Saturday, December 14, on southbound I-81 from Exit 52 (Route 11) to Exit 48 (Route 74/York Road).

 

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.

 

This work is part of a 12.85-mile resurfacing project that consists of milling, base replacement, concrete pavement patching, minor drainage, ADA ramps, paving, traffic counter site repair and other miscellaneous construction on Interstate 81 from Route 15/Enola in East Pennsboro Township, to Route 581/Lambs Gap Road in Hampden Township.

 

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., of New Enterprise, PA, is the prime contractor on this $24.5 million project.
