Contractor to Mobilize Equipment for Route 555 Slide Correction

Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said the contractor for a slide correction project along Route 555 will mobilize equipment starting on Tuesday, March 31. This project will repair erosion damage on nearly 800 feet of roadway in Gibson Township approximately four miles west of the intersection with Route 120 in Driftwood Borough.

Starting March 31, the contractor will reduce traffic to one lane and flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control during daylight hours. The contractor will also place temporary traffic signals at each end of the work zone and plans to activate them on Tuesday, April 7. Once activated, the signals will remain in place for the duration of the project.

Work for this contract includes construction of retaining walls, paving, guiderail installation, line painting, and miscellaneous construction. LTT Trucking, LLC., is the contractor on this $1.2 million project. PennDOT anticipates completion in early September, but all construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
