Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that portions of the following state roadways are currently closed:
Washington County
• Route 481 between California Drive and Deer Run Lane due to a downed utility.
• Route 2023 (Grange Road) at Route 481 due to a downed utility.
• Route 4041 (Hornhead Street) at Woodland Road due to a downed utility.
Westmoreland County
• Route 30 (eastbound) at Route 217 due to a downed utility.
• Route 271 between Morel Lane and Carnsi Lane due to a downed tree and utility.
• Route 711 between Slater Road and Route 30 due to downed trees and utilities.
• Route 819 between Northmont Street and Eastview Avenue due to a downed tree.
• Route 819 between Albrights Lake Road and Smartmick Road due to a downed tree and utility.
• Route 1044 (Mt. Carmel Road) between State Park Road and Strawcutter Road due to a downed tree and utility.
As issues are addressed, roadways will be reopened as soon as they are safe.
Drivers are reminded to:
• Never drive through flooded roadways.
• Avoid driving through areas where trees, limbs, or wires are down.
• Never approach or drive over downed utility lines.
• Obey all posted signs, barricades, and traffic controls.
• Turn on headlights when using wipers.
• Reduce speed and remain alert for debris on the roadway.
• Allow extra time for travel.
