Route 65 Bridge over Connoquenessing Creek Project Intermittent Restrictions Continue in Beaver County

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing daily short-term lane restrictions along Route 65 at the bridge over the Connoquenessing Creek in North Sewickley and Franklin townships, Beaver County will continue through late spring 2027.

There will be single-lane alternating traffic controlled by flaggers on Route 65 between Country Club Road and Mercer Road (Route 1006) from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day, as needed, through late spring 2027. These short-term restrictions are to accommodate sign installation, grading, landscaping, and drainage inspection activities.

A full replacement of the existing three-span, steel multi-girder bridge occurred in October 2026 on this $9.45 million project. The bridge spans the Connoquenessing Creek between Mercer Road in Franklin Township and Country Club Drive in North Sewickley Township. Additional work includes drainage improvements, sign upgrades, pavement marking installation, and planting and seeding areas impacted by construction activities. The overall project is expected to finish in the spring of 2027.

Please allow extra time and use caution when traveling through the work zone.
