While preliminary work with utlities has already started at Holland Street, major work on the intersection is expected to get fully underway following reopening of the Bayfront Parkway and State Street.
- South Holland Phase : This phase includes the full construction of the southern (downtown) half of the roundabout at Holland, as well as significant progress on the pedestrian bridge and retaining walls on both the southern and northern sides of Holland. (Anticipated Completion by June 2027)
- North Holland Phase: The final phase will involve constructing the northern (waterfront) half of the roundabout at Holland, completing the pedestrian bridge, and finishing all remaining project work. (Anticipated Completion by November 2027)
Improvements at the intersection will include construction of the multi-lane roundabout, a pedestrian bridge over the Bayfront Parkway, changes to some parking areas near the intersection, and completion of missing links within the multi-use trail on the waterfront side of the parkway and along Holland Street.
