A $1.97 million resurfacing project that will give motorists a smoother ride on more than nearly 8 miles of Page Hollow Road (Route 4009) in Freehold, Pittsfield and Sugar Grove townships, Warren County is scheduled to start April 14, 2026.
The project will include paving 7.71 miles of roadway from the intersection of Page Hollow Road and Route 6 in Pittsfield Township to the intersection of Page Hollow Road and Route 957 in Sugar Grove Township.
Work will also include paving, base repair, guide rail updates, side road and driveway adjustments, roadway shoulder repairs, and tree trimming.
Construction is expected to begin April 14, 2026, weather permitting, and is expected to be completed by June 2026.
A portion of the work will require a detour. It is expected to start on May 4, 2026, and be in place for approximately two weeks. The proposed 10.1-mile detour route will be posted using Route 6, Route 958, and Route 957.
Drivers should be alert for traffic pattern shifts and lane restrictions during other parts of the project.
The contractor is IA Construction of Franklin, PA. The contract cost is $1,973,777.77 which is to be paid entirely with state funds.
