Lane restrictions scheduled from 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM; Expect delays
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a PennDOT Dauphin County maintenance crew is scheduled to conduct a nighttime deck patching operation on the southbound Interstate 81, George N. Wade (North) Bridge over the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg between Dauphin and Cumberland counties. PennDOT finished bridge deck repairs in the northbound lanes of I-81 this morning.
Weather permitting bridge deck patching will be performed Thursday, April 30, then Sunday through Thursday, May 3-7, from 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM the following morning. There will be lane restrictions on southbound I-81.
Travelers are reminded to be alert for this operation, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
