Inspections Planned for Interstate 83 Bridges over Route 30, Mill Creek, and Codorus Creek in York County

Expect a lane restriction and possible delays on Thursday, July 9, during work hours.

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that bridge inspections are scheduled next week for the Interstate 83 bridges over Route 30, Mill Creek, and Codorus Creek in York County.

Weather permitting, the contractor will conduct this work using an inspection crane from the northbound right lane of I-83 on Thursday, July 9, from 8:30 AM until 3:30 PM. There will be a lane restriction during work hours. Expect travel delays.

This work is part of a bridge condition assessment for the North York Widening project on I-83 in North York Borough, and Springettsbury, Manchester, and Spring Garden townships in York County. This project consists of reconstruction of the I-83 corridor from Exit 19 to Exit 22 to achieve a more functional and modern roadway.
