Bridge Replacement Project to Close Campground Road (Route 4045) over Dogwood Run in Carroll Township, York County

Harrisburg, PA The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that on Monday, May 11, a bridge replacement project will close Campground Road (Route 4045) over Dogwood Run in Carroll Township, York County.

The bridge is expected to be closed for up to 175 days. A motor vehicle detour will be in place, using Mountain Road (Route 4040), Route 15 and Route 74 (York Road). A bicycle detour will use Mountain Road and Dogwood Lane. The detours are expected to be lifted by November 1, 2026.

Travelers should be alert and drive with caution along the detour route.

Work under this contract includes structure replacement, guiderail upgrades and other miscellaneous construction.

JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs PA, is the contractor for this $1,125,675 bridge replacement project. All work is expected to be completed by December 18, 2026.
