    Bridge Inspections Scheduled for Bowmansville Road over Route 222 in Brecknock Township, Lancaster County

    Expect lane restrictions, delays on northbound and southbound Route 222

    Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that bridge inspections are scheduled for the Bowmansville Road structures over Route 222 near Adamstown Borough in Brecknock Township, Lancaster County.

    Weather permitting this work will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the following days:

    • Wednesday, May 27 – There will be a northbound right lane restriction on Route 222 from 9:00 AM to noon. There will be a southbound right lane restriction from noon to 3:00 PM.
    • Thursday, May 28 – There will be a northbound left lane restriction on Route 222 from 9:00 AM to noon. There will be a southbound left lane restriction from noon to 3:00 PM.

    Inspectors plan to inspect the bridge using an inspection crane from the roadway.

    Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
