King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations are planned next week on several state highways in Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties under multiple ongoing contracts to repair, resurface, and improve more than 240 miles of state highways across the five-county region.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Chester County
- Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Cambridge Road between Route 322 (Horseshoe Pike) and the Lancaster County Line in Honey Brook Township for base repair.
- Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, July 10, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Route 10 (Octorara Trail) and the Lancaster County Line in West Sadsbury Township for milling.
- Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, July 10, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Hazelwood Avenue/Embreeville Road/West Chester Road/Oak Street between Marshallton Thorndale Road and First Avenue in Caln, West Bradford, East Fallowfield townships, South Coatesville Borough, and City of Coatesville for paving.
- Thursday, July 9, and Friday, July 10, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Marshallton Thorndale Road between Louanna Avenue and Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) in Caln Township for paving.
Delaware County
- Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, July 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Bortondale Road/Orange Street between Old Middletown Road and Baltimore Pike in Middletown and Upper Providence townships and in Media Borough for milling, paving, and utility adjustments.
- Thursday, July 9, through Friday, July 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane closures will be in place weekdays on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Route 452 (Pennell Road) and Route 352 (New Middletown Road) in Middletown Township for milling, paving, and utility work.
Montgomery County
- Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Game Farm Road between Neiffer Road and Route 29 (Main Street) in Limerick and Lower Frederick townships and Schwenksville Borough for paving.
- Tuesday, July 7, through Thursday, July 9, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Route 113 (Black Rock Road/Trappe Road) between South Trappe Road and Borough Line Road in Upper Providence Township for paving.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
