King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations will continue on more than 15 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties under multiple ongoing contracts to repair, resurface, and improve more than 240 miles of state highways across the five-county region.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Bucks County
- Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, October 30, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Route 152 (Baringer Avenue/Hilltown Pike) between Hilltown Pike and Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) in Hilltown Township for high friction surface treatment application.
Chester County
- Monday, June 29, through Wednesday, July 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Marshallton Thorndale Road between Louanna Avenue and Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) in Caln Township for milling, paving, and utility adjustments.
- Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Cambridge Road between Route 322 (Horseshoe Pike) and the Lancaster County Line in Honey Brook Township for base repair.
- Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, July 10, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Route 10 (Octorara Trail) and the Lancaster County Line in West Sadsbury Township for milling.
- Tuesday, July 7, through Wednesday, September 30, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Whitford Road between Burke Road and Boot Road in West Whiteland Township for high friction surface treatment application.
- Tuesday, July 7, through Wednesday, September 30, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Route 401 (Conestoga Road) between Nantmeal Road and Moores Road in East Nantmeal Township for high friction surface treatment application.
Delaware County
- Monday, June 29, through Wednesday, July 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Bortondale Road/Orange Street between Old Middletown Road and Baltimore Pike in Middletown and Upper Providence townships and in Media Borough for milling, paving, and utility adjustments.
Montgomery County
- Monday, June 29, through Thursday, July 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Game Farm Round between Neiffer Road and Route 29 (Main Street) in Limerick and Lower Frederick townships and Schwenksville Borough for paving.
- Sunday, June 28, through Wednesday, July 1, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Route 113 (Black Rock Road/Trappe Road) between South Trappe Road and Borough Line Road in Upper Providence Township for milling, paving, and base repair.
- Monday, June 29, through Wednesday, July 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Route 113 (Black Rock Road/Trappe Road) between South Trappe Road and Borough Line Road in Upper Providence Township for utility adjustments.
- Tuesday, July 7, through Wednesday, September 30, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) between Beidler Road and Mancill Mill Road in Upper Merion Township for high friction surface treatment application.
- Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, October 23, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Route 73 (Big Road) between Hoffmanville Road and Church Road in New Hanover Township for high friction surface treatment application.
- Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, October 23, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Fitzwatertown Road between Route 611 (Easton Road) and Beachwood Road in Upper Moreland Township for high friction surface treatment application.
- Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, October 23, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Limerick Road between Sofia Court and Pheasant Road in Limerick Township for high friction surface treatment application.
- Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, October 30, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Route 29 (Main Street) between East Park Avenue and Walnut Street in Schwenksville Borough for high friction surface treatment application.
Philadelphia County
- Monday, June 29, through Thursday, July 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on Cecil B. Moore Avenue between 10th Street and Ridge Avenue for line striping.
- Monday, June 29, through Thursday, July 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on Robbins Street between Frankford Avenue and State Road for line striping.
- Monday, June 29, through Thursday, July 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on sections of Rhawn Street between Oxford Avenue and State Road for line striping.
- Monday, June 29, through Thursday, July 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on Holme Avenue between U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) and Academy Road for line striping.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
