King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction at night next week on a section of northbound Route 252 (Bear Hill Road) in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County.
Weather permitting, drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, March 9, through Wednesday, March 11, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, northbound Route 253 (Bear Hill Road) will be closed and detoured between U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Friendship Drive. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use either Lancaster Avenue, Old Lancaster Road, Howellville Road, and Cassatt Road or Swedesford Road, Route 29 (Morehall Road), and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue).
Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area or along the detour route because backups and delays may occur.
PECO Energy will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
