King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that geotechnical drilling will close Pickering Dam Road in Charlestown Township, Chester County, beginning on Monday, May 11.
Weather permitting, motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 22, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Pickering Dam Road will be closed and detoured weekdays between Peakes Pike Road and Charlestown Road. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Route 29 (State Road), Pot House Road, and Charlestown Road.
Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area or along the detour route because backups and delays may occur.
