King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that tree removal operations are scheduled to close Newark Road in West Marlborough Township, Chester County, beginning Monday, January 19.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, January 19, through Friday, January 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Newark Road will be closed and detoured between Route 842 (Upland Road) and Route 926 (Street Road). During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 842 (Upland Road/Clonmell Upland Road), Route 841 (Chatham Road), and Route 926 (Street Road).
Local access will be maintained. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
