Road Maintenance Continues This Week on Routes 44 and 54 in Turbotville, Northumberland County

Montoursville, PA – Drivers who travel Routes 44 and 54 are advised that a road maintenance project is scheduled in Turbotville Borough, Northumberland County. This work is part of a larger microsurfacing project on several routes in the area.

Starting Wednesday, June 10, the contractor, Suit-Kote Corporation, will be microsurfacing and installing pavement markings on Route 54 beginning approximately 800 feet east of Route 44 to the intersection of Routes 44 and 54, then continue north of Route 44 for approximately one-mile.

Drivers can expect alternating lane restrictions between the hours of 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. Drivers should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.

This portion of the project is expected to be complete by Saturday, June 20, weather pending.

Suit-Kote Corporation is the prime contractor for this $1.15 million microsurface project. Work on the project includes base repairs, line paint removal, double application of microsurface treatment, and line paint. Work on the project is anticipated to be completed in July 2026, weather permitting.
