Resurfacing Project to Begin on Bloom Street in Danville Borough, Montour County

Montoursville, PA – A roadway resurfacing project will begin next week on Walnut Street (Route 11) and Bloom Street (Route 2010) in Danville Borough and Kaseville Road (Route 2005) in Mahoning Township, Montour County.

On Tuesday, May 5 and Wednesday, May 6, the contractor New Enterprise Stone and Lime, Inc., will be trimming trees on Bloom Street between Walnut Steet and Cherry Street. Drivers can expect single lane conditions with flagging between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co, Inc. is the prime contractor for this $1.7 million roadway resurfacing project. Work on the project includes milling and resurfacing of the existing roadway, base repairs, and line painting of Route 11 between Bald Top Road and State Hospital Drive in Mahoning Township, including Route 11 in Danville Borough. Additional work on the project includes drainage improvements, base repairs, and resurfacing, at the intersection of Kaseville Road (Route 2005) and Bloom Road (Route 2008) in Mahoning Township.  Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in September 2026.
