Resurfacing Project Continues on Main Street in Towanda, Bradford County

Montoursville, PA – A road resurfacing project will continue next week on Main Street (Route 6) in Towanda Borough, Bradford County.

Between Monday, June 15 through Friday, June 19, contractor will continue line painting and utility adjustments on Main Street between York Avenue (Route 6) and Merrill Parkway. Drivers can expect single lane conditions with flagging between the hours of 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM, weather permitting.

Kriger Construction, LLC., is the prime contractor for this $956,478 mill and resurface project on Route 6 (Main Street) in Towanda Borough, Bradford County. Work on the project includes mill or remove the top layer of the road, resurface, and line paint. The project is anticipated to be completed in August 2026, weather permitting.

PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
