Montoursville, PA – Drivers are advised a pipe replacement project will begin next week on State School Road (Route 1008) in Penn Township. Snyder County.
Starting on Wednesday, July 8, State School Road will be closed daily between Route 204 and Salem Road (Route 1011) while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew replaces a deteriorating pipe.
A detour using Routes 204, 522 and Salem Road will be in place each day between the hours of 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
Work on the project is expected to be completed by Monday, July 13, weather permitting. Drivers should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution in the area.
