Pipe Replacement Project Begins Next Week at the I-180/Route 54 Interchange Park and Ride in Northumberland County

Montoursville, PA – Drivers are advised that a pipe replacement project will begin next Friday, the Park and Ride located at the Interstate 180/Route 54 interchange in Delaware Township, Northumberland County.

Park and Ride Impacts

  • Between Friday, April 17, at 5:00 PM, and Monday, April 27, at 6:00 AM, the Park and Ride will be closed, while the contractor excavates, removes the existing pipe, installs the new pipe, back fills, and resurfaces.

Cleveland Brothers Road Impacts

  • Between Friday, April 17, at 5:00 PM and Monday, April 20, at 6:00 AM, Cleveland Brothers Road will be closed, while the contractor works on the pipe replacement. Drivers can access Cleveland Brothers Road using a temporary access road.
  • Between Friday, April 24, at 5:00 PM and Monday, April 27, at 6:00 AM, Cleveland Brothers Road will be closed while the contractors resurface the roadway. Drivers can access Cleveland Brothers Road using a temporary access road.

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. is the prime contractor for this $3.2 million resurfacing project and pipe replacement project. Previously completed work includes the mill and resurface of Route 405 between Route 44 in Delaware Township, Northumberland County and Route 54 in Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County. Additional work in the project included an application of an epoxy overlay, guiderail upgrades, and embankment repair, of the existing bridge that carries Route 405 over the railroad tracks, and embankment repairs near the existing bridge that carries Route 405 over Delaware Run. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in May 2026.
