Flood Repairs Continue in Sullivan County

Montoursville, PA – Drivers are advised that a flood damage repair project continues on Route 220 in Davidson Township Sonestown Mountain, Sullivan County.

Between Tuesday, May 26 and Thursday, May 28, Old Route 220 (T-306) will be closed between Route 220 and Gavitt Road (T-320) while the contractor, Mitchell Knorr Contracting Inc., replaces a pipe under the roadway. A detour using Route 220 and Old Route 220 Road will be in place for the duration of the pipe replacement. 

Drivers should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.

Mitchell Knorr Contracting Inc. is the prime contractor for this $2.6 million dollar flood damage repair project. Work includes restoration of slopes and ditches, pipe removal/abandonment, pipe replacement, pipe cleaning, shoulder reconstruction, installation and removal of four temporary access roads, roadway reconstruction on Township Road T-300 (Main Street), restoration of pavement over pipe, milling, and overlay on Township Road T-306 (Old Rt 220) and is expected to be completed in late fall of 2026, weather permitting.
